Semi-Truck Accident on Marks Avenue Left One Fatality

FRESNO, CA (July 18, 2022) – On Wednesday, a car crash on Manning Avenue claimed the life of Guillermina Carapia Lara, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident around 6:42 p.m. involving a semi-truck on Marks and Manning Avenues.

Furthermore, police said a woman in her 50s stopped at a stop sign on Marks Avenue.

However, the woman pulled out in front of the semi-truck going eastbound on Manning Avenue for unknown reasons.

As a result, the semi hit the driver’s side of the woman’s vehicle.

Unfortunately, the responding officials declared the 71-year-old Guillermina Carapia Lara of Fresno dead at the scene.

Fresno County officials continue to investigate the fatal car crash.
