The third annual Feel Good Film Festival rolls out the yellow carpet “in honor of the fest's sunflower logo” for movies with positive themes and happy endings. But not all of the 64 features, documentaries, shorts and student films from all genres are schmaltzy. Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines hosts the opening night, featuring the love triangle comedy Father vs. Son, followed by other highlights: Accidental Icon: The Real Gidget Story (with Sally Field); Art House (with Iggy Pop); How to Make Love to a Woman (with Jenna Jameson and Ken Jeong); and I Am Comic (with Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Margaret Cho, Lewis Black and a slew of other stand-ups). We're not sure what sort of happy ending Herpes Boy has in store. But if you want the kind of happy ending you get at a massage parlor, there's a movie, Happy Ending, for that, too. Egyptian Theater, 6712 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.; Aug. 13-15; $10 ($25 opening night). (323) 461-2020, fgff.org.
