So what do you serve people before they get served tons of grilled cheese sandwiches? WhySo what do you serve people before they get served tons of grilled cheese sandwiches? Why, grilled cheese sandwiches of course! They were kind of like palate cleansers / appetizers. They were very straight forward sandwiches created by the Kraft folks -- kind of like a warm-up, or stretching - before competing in the main event.
