The chef accused of murdering his wife with a griddle pan, hiding her body in a freezer for three years, then dumping it in a trash bin, has been found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 20 years, the Guardian reports. More facts have surfaced since our last story on this incident, and they only make German chef Peter Wallner look more despicable. Previously, he had claimed that his act was fueled by an argument about his infidelity, and that she attacked him with a rolling pin.

The chef lied about her death to friends and family, even burning some wood on his grill and passing them off as his late wife's ashes. Wallner was eventually discovered after he dumped her body in a trash bin outside his home before taking a vacation out of the country with his new girlfriend.

In other news, Wallner appears to have an insurmountable lead in this year's Worst Husband of the Year Awards.
