DUI Crash on Big Ranch Road Left Two People Injured

NAPA, CA (December 20, 2021) – A DUI crash on Big Ranch Road left Gregory Schmitz and a 25-year-old man injured Sunday evening.

According to authorities, the incident occurred when a Chevy Silverado backed out of a driveway area while a Toyota Prius stopped to give way.

However, southbound Jeep Cherokee failed to stop and rear-ended the Prius at the intersection of El Centro Avenue.

As a result, the Toyota went into a ditch while the Cherokee continued forward slamming into the Chevy Silverado.

According to the CHP, 69-year-old Gregory Schmitz sustained major injuries. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Marysville Man suffered minor injuries.

Furthermore, authorities arrested 33-year-old Esai Jared Corro for suspicion of DUI.

Napa Officials are investigating the crash.
