50-Year-old Woman Killed in DUI Accident near Cadet Road in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 4, 2021) – 50-year-old Gregoria Juarez Pachuca of Pasadena, was killed Sunday evening after a deadly car crash on Taft Highway.

The accident occurred near Cadet Road around 5:15 p.m., on May 30. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

According to police, a 2007 Ford Mustang was traveling south when it lost control and veered to the right. The vehicle went off the road and rolled over several times just north of Cadet Road.

Pachuca was a passenger inside the vehicle and was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the impact. Medics pronounced Pachuca dead on the scene due to the extent of her condition.

Meanwhile, police determined that the female Mustang driver was under the influence of alcohol. She was later arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Authorities have also stated that another passenger inside the vehicle escaped injury. However, their identity has not been released.
