Television personality and fitness guru Greg Plitt was fatally struck by a train while filming near tracks in Burbank, police confirmed yesterday.

On Sunday Burbank police released a statement identifying the victim as George Gregory Plitt, Jr. Police at the scene told reporters the 37-year-old from Burbank was with two other men who were filming at the time of the apparent accident.

The video the crew captured was seized as evidence, a Burbank officer said. Suicide appeared to have been ruled out.

Plitt had apparently filmed near that very spot along the tracks in the past.

One video shows him doing push-ups on train tracks said to be the same ones where he was killed Saturday.

In an earlier statement, Burbank police said the victim “was struck by a southbound Metrolink Train, north of the Magnolia Boulevard Overpass in Burbank” about 4:05 p.m. that day.

Burbank Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, cops said.

The area was off-limits to pedestrians, police later said.

Plitt was featured on Days of Our Lives and Bravo's Work Out.
