Albert Greenwood Brown, Jr. was one of three Southern Californians cleared to meet his maker, and his execution was scheduled for Wednesday. But on Monday Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger gave the killer of a 15-year-old girl a 45-hour reprieve that would put his time of death at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Although Brown was cleared to go forward, he filed a customary appeal and a request for clemency that a governor's spokesman said would be considered by Schwarzenegger via the extra time.
