One of L.A.'s most beloved food events is coming up in October, and the restaurants are looking good.

Brunch at the Races is L.A. Weekly's annual breakfast party, held at Santa Anita Park — that's right,  the racetrack. People often come out in their Kentucky Derby finest, but whatever they're wearing, they come to eat.

Kobawoo House, the Koreatown legend (serving bossam since 1985!), will be on hand, as will Chez Tex, the tiny little Venice Beach restaurant that's a true labor of love. Asian-inspired bites? Monkey Bar is there for you. Dessert's your thing? Head to McConnell's. You can do a waffle taste-off between Waffling Around and Bru's Wiffle. See what all the hubbub is about at Red Herring. And those are just a few of the fine restaurants represented at Brunch at the Races.

Tickets for the Oct. 15 event are on sale now, at $40 for general admission and $60 for VIP, and can be purchased here. Be sure to buy them soon — like maybe today. Prices go up Sept. 16 at midnight.

General admission tickets include full-day entry to Santa Anita Park, unlimited food samples from more than 30 breakfast and brunch restaurants, beer, wine and cocktail samples, and access to our artisanal vendor village.

VIP tickets include all of the above plus access to our VIP lounge with exclusive cocktail samplings, and a VIP gift bag.
