Countless people consider music their trusted companion during a broad range of activities, from the most trivial events, such as cooking dinner, to the most significant. In contrast, others think that songs are but background noise. Some may also find solace in their favorite tracks, believing that music is a powerful medium of communication, as well as a source of comfort and inspiration. For those who appreciate songs bearing messages that speak of a wide array of human emotion, the tracks released by Michael Jefferson, better known as evrYwhr, are guaranteed to resonate and hit close to home.

evrYwhr is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, singer, spoken wordsmith, and producer who is currently making waves in the highly competitive entertainment industry. Heralded as a music visionary, he releases masterpieces that embody an eclectic marriage of R&B pop, boasting a discography composed of songs characterized by their cinematic and orchestral vibes.

Hailing from Port Huron, Michigan, he has earned a big following nationally and  internationally. Especially in India, where he is being played on many Indian Spotify playlists and on VH1 India. evrYwhr comes from a loving working-class family whose deep-seated love for music allowed his initial interest in the craft to transform into what would become the driving force behind his current endeavors. “My obsession for all things music began at the age of five when I would sit next to my dad on the family sofa, listening to old Stax and Motown records while immersing myself in the sounds of artists like Curtis Mayfield, Michael Jackson, and New Edition,” this emerging household name shares. By the age of nine, he would be seen sharing his gift with others as he sang his heart out.

The multifaceted personality, who graduated with a degree in Sales & Business Marketing from Western Michigan University, took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to translate his vision of becoming a songwriter and recording artist into reality. Shortly after he first dipped his toes in the bold LA scene, he managed to stand side by side with numerous other passion-fueled go-getters, collaborating with Pop artists like Leona Lewis, Mila J, and Aaron Carter.

Impressively racking up multiple accomplishments under his belt throughout his decorated career, evrYwhr is the creative mind behind many hit songs and chart-topping tracks. He co-wrote two releases titled “Confessions” and “Violence” for Gospel rapper Lecrae’s 2013 Grammy Award-winning album Gravity. Last October, he was able to reach greater heights with the release of his empowering new single, “Letter to the White House.” The song, which became the leading soundtrack to numerous voting campaigns surrounding the 2020 US Presidential Election, not only received acclaim and support from the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Harlem Chamber of Commerce, and Harvard University but has also made its way into regular rotation on MTV and BET.

The extent to which evrYwhr has reached and impacted listeners worldwide is not only a result of his domination of the music scene; his cause-oriented endeavors have also enabled him to make a difference. He partnered with the Recording Academy to donate a percentage of royalty proceeds to Music Cares, an initiative dedicated to supporting struggling artists affected by the pandemic.

This February 12, 2021, the artist released his follow-up single, “PositiveVibes,” which is already slated to be the new anthem for the year. The music video can be seen on YouTube and on MTV, BET and VH1 India.

When asked about the intention of the song, he stated, “The intention that went into the creation of Positive Vibes was for it to be a reminder to myself and others that the utopia we seek exists within. At any given moment, and during any circumstance, we can choose gratitude for the experience of life and ultimately vibrate higher.”

He is also slated to release his debut album in the early Summer of 2021.
