Amy ScattergoodSo GQ, the glossy magazine of mens style and perpetual home, it seems, of Derek Jeter, has published their list of “10 Best Food Trucks in America.” The bandwagon rolls inexorably on, and although food trucks are a great, cheap way to eat these days–eclectic and creative and happily peripatetic–one wonders when we can all sit down again. The list is, as one would expect, very geographically and gastronomically representative. In fact, it reads a little like David Plouffe (Obama's campaign manager, for those of you with short memories) thought it up.
Two of the top 10 trucks are in New York City, two are in LA (we rank #3 and #9), one is in Texas and the rest are spread strategically across the country. GQ doesn't want to lose readers in Milwaukee, especially the nattily-dressed types lining up to order slices of sausage-and-cheese pizza from the Streetza truck. GQ's picks for LA trucks–Kogi and Border Grill–are well-deserved, of course, but very predictable. Maybe it's hard to visit all the mobile trucks in LA without spilling BBQ sauce on your Raf Simons double-breasted suit. Read the list after the jump.
