Nevada Governor Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Rainbow Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 21, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak was hurt in a 2-vehicle crash on Russell Road.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a Lexus SUV and a red vehicle at Rainbow Boulevard and Russell Road in the southwest valley.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, Steve Sisolak and the other driver were taken to a hospital and treated for moderate injuries.

Around 3:00 p.m., the governor was released from the hospital.

The intersection was blocked while police conducted an investigation, but has since reopened.
