They say it's the niche companies that will survive the recession. Better make that “crypt companies,” as can be seen by a couple of Goth-oriented Southland outfits that are drumming up business in the middle of a dying economy. Gothic Limos offers transportation in vintage hearses “for gothic weddings, Halloween parties, over the hill kidnappings . . . or just cruising Hollywood Cemeteries.”

Then there's Mourning Weddings, a crew so new it can only share the same Web site with Gothic Limos. Mourning Weddings offers party planning for “your special gothic, vampire or ghostly Ghoulish ceremony.” But does that include Alice Ghostley fan club events? Now, if only that Bauhaus reunion concert happens, we'll be ready to arrive in style.
