Go-Go’s Get Hall of Fame Induction: Congratulations to L.A. rockers the Go-Go’s, who will be inducted with the Class of 2021 into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine will be inducted alongside Tina Turner, Carole King, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters, Todd Rundgren, Kraftwerk, Charley Patton, Gil Scott-Heron, LL Cool J, Billy Preston, Clarance Avant and Randy Rhoads.

The likes of the New York Dolls, Iron Maiden, Kate Bush, Devo, Rage Against the Machine and Mary J. Blige miss out. However, the induction of the Foo Fighters signals an induction for L.A. punk and former Germs man Pat Smear

The Go-Go’s took to social media on Wednesday morning to say: “We are so EXCITED to announce that we will be … inducted into the 2021 Rock Hall of Fame!! Women have always been a vital part of the ever changing music business and we are so proud to have our success story honored and recognized by the Rock Hall and our wonderful fans. Thank you all so much!”
