If you're weary of hauling your Prius (or maybe your bicycle) all the way up the 5 to Berkeley to pay homage to Alice Waters, next Saturday you'll have a much shorter commute. Waters will be in town to sign copies of her new book In the Green Kitchen: Techniques to Learn by Heart at Hollywood's Lost & Found on April 24th, from 2 – 5 p.m.

Proceeds from the book — cooking techniques, over 50 recipes from Waters and friends, including Thomas Keller, Lidia Bastianich and David Chang — which is out this month from Clarkson Potter, will go to the Chez Panisse Foundation and the Edible Schoolyard program. Lost & Found is also donating a percentage of the proceeds to the Larchmont Charter School, the newest Edible Schoolyard affiliate.

Lost & Found: 6320 Yucca Street, Hollywood; (323) 856-5872.
