An 18-year-old was found dead at a UCLA fraternity house over the weekend, authorities said.

The body of Glen Parrish was found in a bed at the Theta Chi fraternity house at 663 Gayley Ave. Saturday afternoon, the UCLA Daily Bruin reported.

According to City News Service the coroner's office was called to the location about 2 p.m. The Bruin reports that the teenager might have …

… been drinking and taking prescription drugs.

Only a coroner's toxicology test will tell the story, though.

Parrish is believed to have been visiting a friend at the fraternity, according to the student paper. It's possible the Manhattan Beach resident had imbibed elsewhere, it stated.

According to his Facebook profile Parrish just turned 18 last month. His page lists the United States Marijuana Party under his “political views,” and it indicates he likes electric dance music stars Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Tiesto and Skrillex.

His Facebook page has Phoenix as his hometown.

Friends and family recently set up a Facebook page, “Glen Berlin Parrish rest in paradise,” in his memory.

[Update]: The teen's father, also named Glen Parrish, told the Daily Breeze's Larry Altman that ” … there were a lot of drugs and alcohol being taken. His friends told me that on the phone.”

The elder Parrish indicated the partying was done at the same house where the young man was found.

He said his son was last seen at 4 a.m. Saturday before his body was discovered the next afternoon.

He described the teen as a 3.9 GPA student who was headed to Santa Monica College and was “in perfect health.”
