Cops in Whittier were on the lookout for a creep in a red convertible they believe has been trying to kidnap girls all month long.

The latest attempt happened yesterday when an 11-year-old was grabbed and put in the backseat of the car near a park, police said: Also in the backseat? A girl who appeared to be about 7-years-old. Crying. Yeah.

Both managed to escape, Whittier officials said. It all happened …

… about 2:35 p.m. in front of Founders Park, according to a Whittier Police Department statement.

The 11-year-old made it home and called cops, police said; the whereabouts of the 7-year-old were unknown.

Police say a man fitting the description of Thursday's suspect opened his car door for a 17-year-old walking down the street on Feb. 5 at 11:25 a.m. It happened in the 13000 block of Broadway near Broadway Park and not far from Founders, cops say.

The teen called police.

The same day, at 4:40 p.m., cops were called after two high-school-aged girls got into a verbal confrontation with a man near the city's Central Park, police said: The suspect had been trying to get the girls in his car.

According to a Whittier PD statement:

In all three cases, the suspect was last seen driving an unknown make or model red convertible with a tan roof. The common suspect description is that of a male, Hispanic, 25-35 years of age, 5'11″-6'00″, medium to heavy build. In the most recent incident, the female victim described the suspect as having short black hair, with a tattoo of three dots on his left hand.

Additionally, Whittier police Officer Brad White told us the red convertible is a two-door model with a dent in its right rear body panel.
