Teen Girl Killed, Another Injured after Traffic Accident near Pomegranate Drive

ORO VALLEY, AZ (March 22, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a pedestrian crash on West Naranja Drive left a teen and a dog dead, and another injured. It happened on March 17th, shortly before 1:00 p.m., near North Pomegranate Drive, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to reports, two teenage girls were walking on West Naranja Drive, pushing a dog in a stroller. There, they were struck by a vehicle that left them severely injured. Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced one of the teenage girls and the dog dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the other girl to a local hospital for treatment. Following the collision, crews closed down the areas surrounding the crash to perform cleanup and preliminary duties.
