Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 87, revealed that she is receiving chemotherapy on a bi-weekly basis for a “recurrence of cancer.”

In February, Ginsburg learned of having lesions in the liver, but a July 7 scan showed a reduction in those lesions and no signs of any new disease.

Despite the treatment, Ginsburg said she plans on fulfilling her duties on the Supreme Court.

“Throughout, I have kept up with opinion writing and all other Court work,” Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in a statement. “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that.”

Ginsberg was treated for colorectal cancer in 1999 and underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in 2009.

Earlier this week Ginsburg was hospitalized for an issue unrelated to the cancer, as she was being treated for gall stones.
