Authorities today said they seized enough meth to keep every trailer park in America humming for at least a year.

Agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration along with El Monte and Santa Monica police too 160 pounds of redneck crack off the streets in a massive operation last night.

The meth could be worth $6 million on the street, according to feds. The whole ring seemed to unravel after …

… authorities stopped and questioned 25-year-old Alan Tamayo-Montoya, an alleged meth runner for the crew. Agents said he was arrested in the parking lot of a Van Nuys mall.

His bosses, we presume, aren't too happy with him right now.

Search warrants were served last night and – lo and behold — the meth was found in what authorities described as “large-scale” meth labs in homes in Van Nuys and Pomona, according to ICE.

The stuff's so toxic, according to an ICE statement, that …

… it took specially-trained officers with LA IMPACT's Clandestine Lab Team until late Thursday to dismantle both operations and remove any hazardous materials.

Claude Arnold, special agent in charge for Homeland Security Investigations in L.A:

Drug making operations like this are a major public safety menace. First, stockpiling volatile chemicals in residential areas is a disaster waiting to happen.

Our friend Tamayo was jailed in lieu of $2 million bond. He'll have to talk to a judge Monday regarding the allegation that he had meth for sale.
