Dennis RomeroThe youngest victim of the weekend massacre in Arizona, 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green, was the daughter of Dodgers East Coast scout John Green.
Green told a reporter that he has a lot of anger over the attack would like to spend some one-on-one time with suspect 22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner, but he mostly expressed anguish over Saturday's shooting that killed six and wounded 14 others at a Tucson Safeway.
The target was U.S. Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who took a bullet to the head but survived and was in critical condition.
Green told the Arizona Daily Star his daughter “was a good speaker. I could have easily seen her as a politician.”
She was at the Safeway to meet Giffords at her meet-and-greet, which the congresswoman had announced to the public, encouraging constituents to come by.
The girl was elected to her elementary school student council.
Her grandfather, Dallas Green, helped lead the Philadelphia Phillies to the World Series title in 1980.
Dodgers owner Frank McCourt:
“We lost a member of the Dodgers family today. The entire Dodgers organization is mourning the death of John's daughter Christina, and will do everything we can to support John, his wife, Roxanna, and their son, Dallas, in the aftermath of this senseless tragedy. I spoke with John earlier today and expressed condolences on behalf of the entire Dodgers organization.”

The girl, her father told CNN, was born on 9/11.
