Nine out of 10 American men view the product of L.A.'s other film industry – porn. (And the tenth one lies! Pa-dum-pum.)

So says a new survey sent to us by the folks at L.A.-based adult webcam site Cam4. They surveyed 1,023 American adults and found a relatively high rate of XXX media consumption. Sixty percent of women said they viewed such material.

The site says its results reflect …
]
… a normalization of porn in American life. The findings, Cam4 says in a statement, …

 …. point to porn consumerism as healthy, positive and “normal,” rather than shameful.

The survey says about two-thirds of men (68 percent) claim their partners know about their viewing habits. More than half of the dudes (52 percent) said their partners are OK with it. (Yeah right!)

Cam4 says more than half of the porn watchers (53 percent) do so with partners and nearly two-thirds (66 percent) would join in the consumption of XXX media if asked to do so by their lovers.

Fifty-four percent of American smut consumers have sex while watching this medium, the survey said. And that same amount of porn viewers tried to copy what they saw on-screen (don't try this at home, folks).

About one in five women and 32 percent of men have watched a live “cam” show online, the site says.

The survey's research director, Francois Kraus, says:

By giving couples a way to break their routine, pornography has changed and may now become meaningful in a marital setting, where it appears to be a way of spicing up a couple's sex life.

Aw. Porn: It does a nation good.
