Whether you like your nightlife funky or freaky, Good Friday offers two parties to be thankful for this holiday weekend. Miss Kitty’s Annual White Trash Ball is never to be missed, both for the post–Turkey Day tempestuousness on the dance floor (nu-electro beats courtesy of DJ Barbeau) and the “country kink” all around: trailer-park makeovers, backwoodsy performances and even a redneck rock/hair metal room. Dragonfly, 6510 Santa Monica Blvd., Hlywd., 9 p.m.; misskittysparlour.com. Though it closed out its popular summer Sunday sessions a few months ago, The Do-Over is bringing back its post-Thanksgiving jam, The Left-Over, for the third year in a row, beginning in the afternoon as usual. The event is always very mysterious about its guests, but with Stones Throw Records ties and an array of revered DJ pals, a rhythmic sampler of sound scientists on the hip-hop, soul and funk tip are assured. Crane’s Hollywood Tavern, 1611 N. El Centro Ave., Hlywd., 2-10 p.m.; thedoover.net. Both Fri., Nov. 27.
