26-Year-Old Victim Dead after Single-Vehicle Crash on Tenth Street

RIVERSIDE, CA (March 7, 2022) – Sunday, 26-year-old Gerson Cuc Huitz was killed in a solo-car accident on Howard Avenue.

Officers responded to the incident near the intersection of Howard Avenue and Tenth Street, Riverside Police Department said.

According to reports, Huitz was driving a northbound 2005 Toyota Camry on Howard and lost control for reasons still unknown. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a nearby boom-lift crane.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding paramedics pronounced 26-year-old Huitz dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, Riverside Officials are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the police department’s Traffic Bureau at 951-826-8723.
