61-Year-Old Man Dies in Traffic Crash on Pomona Freeway Off-Ramp

POMONA, CA (March 7, 2022) – A possible hit-and-run on Rosemead Boulevard took the life of Gerardo Salazar Saturday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, they discovered the victim’s body shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Rosemead Boulevard off-ramp.

Furthermore, the responding deputies at the scene claimed that the man might be the victim of a hit-and-run.

Moreover, 61-year-old Salazar died at the scene after suffering multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary investigations.

Meanwhile, Pomona officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
