52-Year-Old Man Dies Traffic Accident on North Sunrise Way

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (May 25, 2022) – On Sunday, police identified the fatal pedestrian crash victim as 52-year-old George Edward Lammon.

According to the report, the crash happened around 4:12 a.m. in the 800 block of North Sunrise Way. Riverside Officials said Lammon was walking near North Sunrise way when a vehicle struck him for reasons unknown.

Unfortunately, first responders arrived and pronounced Lammon dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed and told investigators that he spotted the pedestrian while heading south on North Sunrise. However, he was unable to avoid the collision.

Authorities did not disclose the identity of the driver and stated that neither drugs nor alcohol contributed to the incident.

Riverside County Officials are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact PSPD Traffic Division at 760-323-8125. An active investigation is currently underway.
