58-Year-old Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on County Road 97

WOODLAND, CA (November 16, 2021) – 58-year-old Genaro Gonzalez lost his life after a car vs lawn mower crash on County Road 97 on Thursday afternoon.

Officers arrived at the scene around  3:00 p.m. along County Road 97 on November 11.

Gonzales, according to the CHP, riding his lawn mower northbound, when a 2003 Nissan driver failed to slow down and collided with Gonzalez, ejecting him from the lawn mower.

Authorities pronounced Gonzalez dead at the scene. While, police said the Nissan driver only suffered minor injuries.

At this time, CHP did not charged anyone yet and did not considered drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident.

Furthermore, officials closed the area for a few hours to give way to clean up operations.

An update will be released once available, however an active investigation is underway.
