After reporting last month that a new location of Silver Lake pizza emporium Garage Pizza was set to open near in downtown L.A., we finally have confirmation on the date. Owner Jason Batten tells us if all goes as planned, it will open May 27th at its second home near 7th and Main streets. Night owls take note: The place will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 a.m. The menu will mostly be the same, minus the vintage sodas, a few sandwiches and a couple salads. It will, however, serve something the original location doesn't: beer and wine.

None of the beer is on tap, but you can get Lagunitas Pilsner, Session Lager, Alagash White, Flying Dog Pale Ale and Lost Coast Indica IPA as well as 24-oz. bottles of La Fin Du Monde, Terrible and Chimay Grand Reserve (that'd be the one with the blue label). The wine selection is more limited with only one red and one white, an Alamos malbec and a Hey Mambo chardonnay, respectively.

Garage Pizza: 100 1/2 W. 7th Street, Los Angeles. (213) 662-3390.
