57-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident in Fountain Hills

Fountain Hills, AZ (June 1, 2021) – Tuesday, Gage Grimes, 27, was arrested on suspicion of fleeing a deadly wreck in Fountain Hills.

The crash took place on McDowell Mountain Road near Fountain Hills Boulevard. Officials arrived to the scene shortly after.

Authorities say Grimes was driving a white pick up when suddenly he struck Debra Ceschin, 57, while she was riding a bike. Following the impact, Grimes fled the scene.

According to reports, Gage Grimes was seen driving erratically in the days leading up to the incident. He admitting to consuming narcotics just minutes before being brought into detention.

At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be released.
