Pedestrian Crash on Trancas Street Left One Fatality

NAPA, CA (November 11, 2021) – 27-year-old Gabriel Patlan Barajas, died after a pedestrian crash on Trancas Street Friday evening.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. on westbound Trancas Street near Silvarado Trail.

According to CHP, a 25-year-old male driver of a 2016 Mercedes-Benz struck Barjas who was crossing the street prior to the crash.

The impact of the crash threw Barjas on the northbound lane of the highway.

Paramedics then rushed him to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Police did not release any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and factors involved remain under investigation.
