Deadly Multi-Vehicle Accident Results in One Fatality

CARSON, CA (July 6, 2021) – The coroner’s office identified 19-year-old Gabriel Galvez as the victim in a Harbor (110) Freeway Crash.

The incident happened around 12:39 a.m., on Saturday. Dispatchers arrived in the southbound lanes of the freeway, just north of Carson Street.

Upon arrival, responding officers located Galvez laying in the No. 2 lane of the southbound freeway. Shortly after, paramedics arrived and pronounced Galvez dead at the scene.

Investigators later pointed out that a 1999 Lexus traveling at about 65 to 70 mph struck Galvez. The 17-year-old Lexus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be provided.
