In an effort to better familiarize our readership on the upcoming FYF Fest, which occurs this Saturday at the LA State Historic Park downtown, West Coast Sound sent a brief questionnaire to a few bands scheduled to appear. Today's installment features an interview with Kurt Vile.

West Coast Sound: This year's festival is going toward saving the California state parks. What is your best camping story?

Riding mooseback through Glacier Park, Montana wearing only a loin cloth. Oh man, what a memory.

Band you're most excited to see this year and why?

Well, I'm touring down with Eat Skull and I'm stoked to see them four nights in a row and party our faces off.  But I'm pumped to see lots of others, and Tim and Eric!

Are you a FYF virgin, if so how did you get invited to the fest?

Got invited through this thing called Myspace. Guess they were impressed by my sweet smash hits.

In 10 years I see my band:

riding together loin-clothed on a herd of moose!

One thing people should know about my band:

I'm solo at the fest but will be back and on many tours starting in the fall with my full band Kurt Vile and the Violators and then you better just watch out!
