[Update 10/25/11: It's open. As of today.]

The latest food truck to open a brick-and-mortar location in Los Angeles (following Komodo and The Flying Pig) comes all the way from Las Vegas. It's Fukuburger, which will open a 60-seat burger joint in Hollywood next week.

Located on Cahuenga Blvd. just south of Hollywood Blvd., Fukuburger LA features a menu of six burgers, all made with a “Japanese twist,” i.e. marinated in yuzu and topped with wasabi mayo, shiitake mushrooms, furikake and the like.

Fukuburger is the brainchild of Pink Taco founder Harry Morton along with chef Robert Magsalin and Colin Fukunaga. Morton is a busy man. He's also opening the newest Pink Taco on Sunset Blvd. next month. (Let's hope they don't paint any donkeys this time around.)
