Resilience is the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from complex life events. Being resilient does not mean a person doesn’t experience stress, emotional upheaval, and suffering; instead, it involves one’s ability to work through emotional pain and suffering. People who have undergone pressing times are more willing to reach out and help other struggling individuals, and famous influencer Jadejha Edwards is the top name in the aforementioned league.

Before living her dream life, Jadejha opened her eyes to an unstable and unhealthy household where she encountered abuse, like drugs, violence, neglect, and toxic parenting. Disheartened and lost, she struggled to find a ray of light in those dark and testing times. Luckily, her optimism led to a real turning point as she joined a program called ‘Starting Right, Now.’ The program provides homeless youth a safe place by providing one-on-one mentoring and stable homes, assisting with employment opportunities, teaching financial literacy skills, and promoting educational achievement.

SRN gave Jadejha a balanced environment and encouraged her to explore the vast options ahead. She was 18 when she entered the program, and later, Edwards enrolled in her dream college, the University of South Florida, which blossomed her into the woman she is today. As a bright student and an enthusiastic learner, she managed to bag a great job in her first year.

Then onwards, Jadejha turned over a new leaf in her life. Despite her reluctance to complete college, she continued studying and graduated from the University of South Florida in 2021. She has been working as a cyber-security engineer, a role she embodies to date. Later, she moved to Houston, Texas. While pursuing her role as a security engineer, she stumbled into the influencer/creator space and started gaining recognition. Commenting about her life as an influencer, Jadejha explained, “It feels good to walk around the city, and people recognize me even though I haven’t even been here for a year yet.

Apart from thriving professionally, Jadejha wishes to mend her bonds with her family. She is the oldest child and has twelve siblings: eight brothers and three sisters. Prioritizing her siblings and family, Jadejha says she has worked hard to create the life she always wanted and now wants to share it with her beloved ones. Walking the talk, she is on the road to rebuilding her relationship with her family, especially her parents. Rekindling broken ties is hard, but Jadejha believes that taking one step at a time can push all the boundaries restraining one from reuniting with their family.

After years of hard work and determination, she has created a better place for herself. Today, Jadejha Edwards is not just an influencer, content creator, and security engineer but also a public speaker who speaks for the rights of others, especially women.
