Multi-Vehicle Accident near Grangeville Boulevard Left 1 Dead

FRESNO, CA (June 12, 2023) – A 25-year-old man lost his life Friday afternoon multi-car collision at Highway 43. The accident happened at about 1:00 p.m. on May 5th, just north of Grangeville Boulevard. According to California Highway Patrol, a Nissan driver was traveling northbound on Highway 43 at an unknown speed when he veered to the right onto the dirt shoulder and overcorrected. As a result, he sideswiped the cab of a semi-truck on southbound Highway 43 before spinning into the path of a Chevrolet. Responding officials arrived and pronounced the driver of the Nissan, only described as a 25-year-old Fresno man, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the other drivers have no reported injuries sustained from the crash. At this time, it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation into the fatal collision at Highway 43 is underway.
