Wrap up your weekend at The Kebab Shop, with a free wrap of choice on Sunday, Feb. 5 from noon to 2:00 p.m., when the chain celebrates the opening of its fifth restaurant in Los Angeles. They’ll be giving away their most popular menu item at all five locations – El Segundo, Burbank, Northridge, Encino and Cerritos. Kith Treats has brought a cereal and treats bar to its 5,500 square foot space on Rodeo Drive, in the heart of the latest Kith retail flagship. The opening comes with an exclusive dish, The Mama’s Boy, made up of Cocoa Puffs, Kinder Bueno White, mini marshmallows, and chunks of waffle cone, available as a swirl or milkshake, both topped with cookie dough bites and served with a side of gummy bears.The signature Kith Treats menu also is available, including specials from Action Bronson, Virgil Abloh and LeBron James. Or build your own treats, with choices of ice cream, milk, cereal, and mix-ins, plus dairy-free alternatives.

Looking for a last minute Valentine’s Day Gift? The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories, has classes and gift cards for you and your sweetheart. On Friday, Feb. 10, aspiring bakers are invited to spend the afternoon baking a variety of macarons, including chocolate with passionfruit ganache, and pistachio with raspberry ganache in the School’s Valentine’s Day Macarons (The Italian Method) class. Couples also are welcome to participate in any of the school’s other classes throughout the month, including the special In Love With Chocolate: Eclairs & Cream Puffs Edition and the two-day croissant class.Each class is led by a Gourmandise chef who will be the guide through a step-by-step tutorial of each dish. The Music Center has announced a lineup of new culinary talent in the continuation of its Emerging Chefs Program at Abernethy’s, at Jerry Moss Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. The new chefs include Lenora Marouani, chef/owner of Barsha, who will begin her residency on Feb. 4; Michelle Munoz, chef at the cult favorite BBQ restaurant Moo’s Crafted BBQ; and Brad Willits, executive chef of Westside hot spot Market Venice. The Music Center’s Culinary Advisory Committee made of chefs Shirley Chung, Govind Armstrong, Susan Feniger and Ray Garcia, along with Music Center board members select the chefs. Marouani will kick off the program on Saturday, Feb. 4, when Abernethy’s will open with limited days and hours.

The Chap has launched its weekly programming for 2023, with both a Pub Quiz and Bingo Night alternating bi-weekly every other Wednesday. The bi-weekly Pub Quiz is hosted by quizmaster TJ Ramin for teams of up to six people. A special round will pay homage to the Scottish celebration, Burns Night. As with Bingo Night, the evening’s participants will compete for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including The Chap swag, a free pint, or a dessert on the house.

This week marks the 50th anniversary of iconic rock band KISS’ first concert, and to celebrate, Rock & Brews will roll out a special cocktail in honor of co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and the band: the It’s Cold Gin Time Again, made with the band’s Cold Gin brand. The gin’s juniper, citrus and herb notes are in harmony with the flavors of Fiorente Elderflower, lemon juice, simple syrup, blue curacao, soda water and muddled blueberries. To finish, the rockin cocktail is garnished with thyme, cherries and a custom KISS guitar pick. Fans of the band can collect the guitar picks, which will feature a different band member for the first four weeks of the cocktail’s availability (in order: Stanley, Simmons, Thayer, Singer) before being served at random.

Farm Sanctuary in Acton is having a Valentine’s Day-themed event, Open Your Heart, on Saturday, Feb. 11.  Rub elbows with farm’s animal residents, take in guest speaker presentations,  nosh on cookies and design your own candy box at the vegan candy buffet.
