It's Free Cone Day at participating Ben & Jerry's across the nation. From noon to 8 p.m., customers can get a free cone of ice cream in the flavor of his or her choice, including classic, Greek Frozen Yogurt and newer flavors.

There are seven participating locations nearby, including Downtown, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Burbank, Northridge, Sherman Oaks, and Westchester.

The annual giveaway is in its 34th annual run, coordinated as a token of the company's appreciation for its customers.
