Haven Gastropub + Brewery in Pasadena is launching it's in-house burger pop-up Haven Burger this coming Monday, Aug. 20, which will feature an array of grass-fed and free range burgers from chef Greg Daniels, including their Haven Burger, made with pickled red onions, roasted red bell peppers, wild arugula, and pungent St. Agur cheese, as well as an extra-juicy special lamb burger.

We're not quite sure we grasp the restaurant-within-a-restaurant concept behind putting a burger joint inside a gastropub (unnecessarily Inception-y if you ask us), but to celebrate their grand opening Burger Haven is doing the one thing that everyone can get behind — free burgers!

On Aug. 20 starting at 11:00 a.m., the first 100 people in line get their burgers completely gratis, meaning you'll have some extra scratch for house-brewed beer or one of their homemade milkshakes. Considering that this heatwave is expected to continue through the weekend, that might not be a bad idea. Just be sure to enter the restaurant through Burger Haven's separate entrance adjacent to McCormick Alley. How would it be pop-up without some super-secret side entrance?
