Freddie Gibbs is a Big Boss: L.A.’s Wiltern has been hosting prestigious live-streamed concerts throughout the lockdown. This one, featuring Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs, looks like being one of the last before the venue, and all venues, open up properly again.

“Known for his technical proficiency and provocative lyrics, Freddie Gibbs has been a consistent force within the Rap and Hip-Hop communities,” reads the Wiltern website. “With 8 albums released, he is still at the top of his game with his most recent album scoring him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.”

Back in April, Gibbs released surprise single “Big Boss Rabbit,” his third since partnering with Warner.

“Three MAC-11’s, back of the 7 on some boss shit / I put that president on my wrist, and I got frostbit,” he raps on the hook.

Quite.

Freddie Gibbs is a Big Boss: Tune in at 6 p.m. PT on Friday, July 2 via Veeps.
