A young man fatally shot in South Los Angeles on June 30 has been identified as 24-year-old Frankie Ogburn. The suspect involved in the shooting has also been identified as 57-year-old Randolph Patterson. The shooting occurred at 1421 West 84th Place around 2:35 p.m., according to Detective Young Mun of LAPD's 77th Division. (See map after the jump)

Ogburn was involved in a verbal dispute with Patterson, said Det. Mun. He then allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Ogburn. Patterson then fled the scene and was later arrested that night. Ogburn was pronounced dead at the scene.
