Fatal Collision near State Route 137 in Tulare
TULARE, CA (October 26, 2021) – A fatal crash on Road 68 injured Francisco Zuniga and killed one person early Friday morning.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at 1:55 a.m., on Road 68, near State Route 147. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Pe reports, Francisco Zuniga was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado east on State Route 137 at 60 miles per hour as he approached the intersection of Road 68.
Meanwhile, a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder driven by an unidentified man was heading southbound on Road 68 at an unknown speed.
For reasons unknown, the Nissan driver failed to stop for the posted stop sign and drove right into the path of the Chevrolet.
In addition, the Chevrolet collided with the Nissan broadside, driving both automobiles into a dirt field to the southeast.
Meanwhile, it is unknown if drugs and alcohol were the factors in the collision.
