32-Year-Old Man Killed in DUI Head-On Collision on Tomiyaus Lane

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 3, 2023) – Late Tuesday morning, Francisco Romero-Padilla was killed in a DUI accident on Warm Springs Road.

Officers responded to the scene around 11:42 a.m., near the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Tomiyaus Lane.

For DUI related reasons, the driver of a 2016 Ford F150 was traveling west on Warm Springs Road and crossed into the eastbound lanes. There, the Ford collided head-on with a 2016 Nissan NV200 van.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the Nissan driver, 32-year-old Romero-Padilla dead at the scene.

The Ford driver, later identified as 22-year-old Raul Gonzalez, displayed signs of impairment and sustained minor injuries. Gonzalez was detained and is now facing DUI charges.
