Single-Vehicle Accident near 43rd Avenue Left Elk Grove Couple Dead

SACRAMENTO, CA (May 11, 2023) – Sunday night, a solo-vehicle crash near Riverside Boulevard claimed the lives of Frances Almanza and Rudy Almanza. Police and fire personnel responded to the accident shortly before 11:30 p.m. near Riverside and 43rd Avenues. Upon arrival, authorities located a man and a woman inside a vehicle, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the investigators, the car occupied by the couple struck another parked vehicle for unknown reasons. Officials pronounced the man dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed to woman to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Later, the Sacramento County coroner’s office identified the two deceased occupants as 61-year-old Frances Almanza &and 66-year-old Rudy Almanza. Sacramento Police said the two were a married couple residing in Elk Grove.
