Four people were under arrest this week for allegedly operating two brothels in the San Gabriel Valley, according to ABC 7.

The suspects, who were accused of conspiracy to commit marriage fraud, pimping, and pandering were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The foursome allegedly recruited and employed Chinese women who had student visas, to work as prostitutes in Monterey Park and San Gabriel. The suspects are also accused of using fake documents to set up fraudulent marriages.

The additional accusation of importing an immigrant for purposes of prostitution could carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
