Seats at chef-artist Jim Denevan's wildly popular communal table concept, the idiosyncratic, touring farmer-foodie collaboration known as Outstanding in the Field, have been selling out all over the country months in advance and despite their steep, if cost-appropriate, price of entry.

Squid Ink previously reported on these remarkable mass meals, which pair local farms and vineyards, often direct-to-consumer heavyweights that are very familiar to farmers market shoppers–like the Santa Monica market's Coleman Family Farms out of Carpinteria or Bay Area “rogue marketer” County Line Harvest–with local chefs for a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor homage to fine dining and sustainable agriculture.

Tickets are still available for The Gorbals chef Ilan Hall's dinner at Sage Mountain Farm in Temecula on June 25th, where he will be highlighting Sage's dizzying array of certified organic produce on a pop-up menu enjoyed by nearly 150 people. Seats will sell out. Claim yours today at the Outstanding in the Field website.
