Until now, westsiders have had to migrate east in order to Forage – at the restaurant that bears the moniker, anyway. However, this Silver Lake staple for seasonal, locally-sourced food will be taking up temporary residence in Santa Monica as a pop-up restaurant at the Art Los Angeles Contemporary fair. The event, which celebrates art via exhibitors from all over the world, runs from Thursday, January 27th through Sunday, January 30th.

Says ALAC director Tim Fleming, “The main inspiration for installing the Forage pop-up café at ALAC 2011 is to offer fairgoers a taste of what it means to eat and live well in Los Angeles. When it comes to enjoying inspired cuisine like an L.A. insider, Forage is at the top of the list.”

No word yet on what Forage chef Jason Kim will be serving, but we do know he'll create a menu specifically for this occasion, so even if you've been to the Forage flagship, there will be new dishes to try.

Tickets for ALAC can be purchased at the event's website.
