The has-beens and never-weres on Dancing With the Stars are enough to turn even die-hard reality TV fans off televised dance competitions. But the young amateur hopefuls on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance have what the others lack: actual skills. Once again, finalists from the current season have been hitting the road, performing old and new jazz, tap, ballet and hip-hop routines. The dancers include Ade Obayomi, Evan Kasprzak, Janette Manrara, Jason Glover, Brandon Bryant, Kayla Radomski, Kupono Aweanu, Melissa Sandvig, Randi Evans and winner Jeanine Mason. Co-produced by Simon Fuller and show judge Nigel Lythgoe (the pair behind American Idol), the Emmy-winning series has also brought in a few guest judges, including Hairspray director Adam Shankman and even Debbie Allen. Watching the two left-footed klutzes during the audition portion is always a hoot, but even more entertaining is fellow regular judge Mary “Scream Queen” Murphy, who laughs like a sorority girl after the first keg has arrived. (Entertainment Weekly even measured the decibel level of her voice and determined that it was louder than a jet taking off and a vacuum cleaner.) After Paula Abdul's departure, reality TV needs another crazy lady to fill the void.
