Jam Class With Sqirl's Jessica Koslow

The New School of Cooking hosts Sqirl's Jessica Koslow as she teaches a class in making preserves, including Warren pear butter and cranberry bourbon jam. All students will receive a light lunch and take-home jars of whatever they make in class. (This jam tutorial could provide some great gift ideas for the holiday season.)

BEP's Seven Courses of Beef Night

BEP Vietnamese Kitchen, which has grown popular for its brunch pop-ups, is debuting its first dinner pop-up at Tiara Café. Chef Connie Tran is organizing a traditional lai rai drinking menu called Bò 7 Món, or seven courses of beef. All feature beef in various forms, including beef liver on baguette toast, beef garlic meatballs and beef carpaccio in fermented shiitake broth. Guests can roll the beef dishes in rice paper to create their own spring rolls, with accompanying dipping sauces. Wine and beer will be available, with a special three-wine flight for an extra $22.

Jeremy Fox and David Kinch Collaboration Dinner

Rustic Canyon executive chef Jeremy Fox and David Kinch, chef of Manresa in Los Gatos and author of the just-published cookbook Manresa: An Edible Reflection, are hosting a special one-night-only dinner to promote Kinch's book. The five-course meal will feature food from Kinch's cookbook paired with dishes created by Fox, as well as a dessert from pastry chef Stephanie Prida. The book will be available for purchase at the event.

WHEN: Monday, Nov. 11, first seating between 6 and 6:45 p.m., second seating between 8 and 8:45 p.m. Reservations required.
