Step aside Anthony Bourdain. There's a new food show in town.

As far back as 2010, we knew that comedian Aziz Ansari has a club with Eric Wareheim and Jason Woliner called Food Club. The three friends go to restaurants in captain's hats, eat the food and – if worthy – present a plaque to the chef. You can see this plaques in various restaurants around Los Angles. But now, the Food Club has gone one step further, adding a show to the mix, the first episode of which is currently available on YouTube.

In the show, the three captains visit restaurants, present plaques, and make the funnies. There's a “judge's table” sequence a-la Top Chef, in which they squat in an alley and decide whether or not to bestow a plaque to Wolvesmouth chef Craig Thornton after dining at the supper club.

The show has all kinds of L.A. food personality cameos, including Michael Voltaggio, Ilan Hall, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, and Jonathan Gold.

The premise of the show is that if a meal is deemed unworthy, the plaque will be burned at the restaurant's door. I personally am hoping for more pyromania in subsequent episodes.
