Foo Fighters hosted a rockin’ free party in the parking lot of the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday, Aug. 26, with performances by Chevy Metal and The Holy Shits, which — holy shit! — was actually the Foos. Queen’s Roger Taylor came onstage and jammed with Taylor Hawkins’ Chevy crew on “Under Pressure” and FFs played oldie but goodie grinds from their extensive back catalog for the all-ages crowd. The band’s white stretch limo and Dave Grohl’s “throne,” used when he broke his leg on tour, were on display at the outdoor afternoon concert. The event was planned as a way to offer fans discounted lawn tickets for Cal Jam 2018, which are still available at Caljamfest.com/tickets.
